Demonstrate plastering techniques

• mix a plaster batch
• apply plaster to a sample wall section
• finish the plaster section with a smooth surface
• skim coat plasterboard to an angle bead

Know how to work safely.

Safe plastering

• using PPE whilst mixing plaster materials
• care and attention when pouring dry plaster into a mixing bucket
• observation of safety data sheets from manufacturers
• wearing overalls
• wearing safety footwear
• cleaning tools and equipment with safe disposal of any plaster
