Sink installation

• hand tools for pipework, cutters, plumbing grips, mole grips

• sink installation, drill, plugs and screws, sink brackets, screwdrivers

Demonstrate the installation of a functioning sink

• complete a simple risk assessment
• keep area clear of trip hazards
• attend to good housekeeping practices

Assessment Criteria

• 2.1

  Select hand tools to connect to water supplies.

• 2.2

  Use hand tools to connect sink waste to soil and vent pipe.

• 2.3

  Select hand tools to install a functioning kitchen sink.

• 2.4

  Install a functioning sink with hot and cold water services and waste.
