    This single unit qualification is designed to consider different conditions that may affect older people and different types of support they may need. The unit also considers different ways of communicating effectively with older people particularly if they have difficulty hearing. While they can easily be offered as stand-alone bite-sized awards, the new qualifications could also be usefully combined with other units or qualifications into meaningful packages of learning.

    What is the purpose of this qualification?

    The aim of this unit is to consider different conditions that may affect older people and different types of support they may need. The unit also considers different ways of communicating effectively with older people particularly if they have difficulty hearing.
