The government has announced the results of their “pause and review” of Level 3 qualifications earmarked for defunding with six qualifications from Gateway Qualifications retaining their funding until 2026.
These are among 157 qualifications that, under the previous government, had been deemed to overlap with T Levels and were due to be phased out from August 2024.
The DfE said that courses key to the government’s growth mission will stay, with 70% of the remaining qualifications due for defunding to be saved, you can read the full press release here: Courses key to government growth mission will stay – GOV.UK
