How colleges are successfully tackling the NEETs crisis
Flexible programs are essential for NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) learners who have unique needs and often don’t thrive in traditional education routes.
The effects of COVID-19 have left many young people with few qualifications, prompting Milton Keynes College to introduce pathways focusing on employability skills, English, and maths, with additional support for those with significant SEND needs, resulting in a 10% increase in retention.
Similarly, Harlow College’s Choices Programme offers a staggered start and multiple entry points within the academic year, reducing anxiety and promoting engagement, leading to significant successes like a learner thriving in a Level 3 gaming course.
We don’t prescribe fixed learning approaches; our role is to enable our centres to provide learning experiences to suit their learners. We work with you to meet your needs and those of your learners.
Regulated qualifications
All our Qualifications, Apprenticeships and Access to HE Diplomas are recognised by Ofqual or the QAA.
