Guiding your learners towards Apprenticeship and Employment opportunities
Our guides illustrate some examples of the multiple pathways that can be created using a single qualification to meet varying employer and local authorities’ needs at local, regional and national levels. This allows you to mould your adult education and training curriculum to meet these needs. At the same time, you can maintain the simplicity of using a single qualification to support your learners’ progress into specific job roles.
Our Building and Construction pathways at Entry Level 3 and Level 1 have routes for bricklaying, carpentry, painting and decorating, plastering and plumbing and can lead to direct employment as a labourer or on to a related apprenticeship at Level 2.
Our Business and Administration pathways at Level 1 and Level 2 have routes for administration, marketing, and customer service and can lead to direct employment as an administrator or further study at Level 3.
Our Childcare pathways at Entry Level 3 and Level 1 have routes for Childminder, SEND teaching assistant, and nursery assistant and can lead to direct employment or an Early Years Practioner apprenticeship at Level 2.
Our Creative Industries pathways at Entry Level 3 and Level 1 have routes for Photography, Music, and Performing Arts and can lead to employment or volunteering or to a related qualification, such as the Gateway Qualifications Level 2 Certificate in Creative Industries.
Our Digital Literacy pathways at Entry Level and Level 1 have routes to improve learners’ digital skills for life, study, work and productivity. Plus, they can lead on to our Digital and IT Skills pathways below, or provide a solid foundation for using digital skills in any sector.
Our Digital and IT Skills pathways at Level 2 have routes for game design, cybersecurity, and digital marketing. Plus, it can lead to a wide range of routes, including employment or to a related Level 3 Free Courses for Jobs qualification.
Our Hair and Beauty Therapy pathways at Entry Level 3 and Level 1 have different routes, including Hair salon assistant and beauty therapy. These Pathways can lead to employment or various apprenticeship opportunities, including Nail services technician, Hairdressing or Barbering Professional.
Our Health and Care pathways at Level 1 and Level 2 have routes for SEND, healthcare support and community care workers. This could lead to a wide range of routes, including employment opportunities such as Community Care / Community Childcare Worker. Also, there are apprenticeship paths towards Healthcare Support and Lead Adult Care Workers, amongst other opportunities.
Our Hospitality and Catering pathways at Entry Level 3 and Level 1 have routes into guest services and hospitality. Many routes include employment opportunities such as Bar Server, Hotel Receptionist, and Kitchen Assistant. Plus, apprenticeship routes include Hospitality Team Member and Commis Chef.
Our Logistics pathways at Level 1 and Level 2 have routes for a career in Warehousing and Transport. These routes include employment opportunities such as Warehouse Operative and Scheduler; and routes to apprenticeships such as Supply chain practitioner and Network Operations scheduler.
